The Creative Mind: Exploring Textures

In this lesson, we will learn the basics of starting a piece of art on canvas and how important priming your canvas can be. Once our primer has dried, we will explore the different textures of acrylic paint and how they can be applied to create dimension and depth.

Destiny Grant has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design with a concentration in Architecture from Cal State University of Sacramento. Since graduating college, she has worked in the film industry, progressing her career in the Art Department. In each role, Destiny has had the opportunity to meet some really amazing people and work on some really great projects featured in shows like: Insecure, The Politician, Snowfall, Nocturnal Animals, Marriage Story, and currently Blackish. Aside from production, Destiny is a self-taught artist who explores acrylic paint, collage, and glitter.
